An update on the press machine and fuel briquette production with the women in Kadutu.
They are operating it three days a week, because the other days the women are busy attending their alphabetization course. The production is sold and the price is the same as in the General Hospital: 3 briquettes for 50 Congolese Francs. At the moment the demand is not high, it takes time to do the marketing and promotion of this new burning system, but everyone has high expectations and feeling very confident that they will have more clients as time passes by.

Thanks for the update. Will someone else take over the blog now that you’re not in Congo? I’d like to read at least a weekly update on progress with all the various locations.

Hello Sheryl! I will be updating the blog on a monthly basis, mostly on what is happening with the women in Kadutu and the press in the General Hospital. Thank you for keeping in touch!

Wishing the ladies well. What wonderful work they have done. They must be very proud! It’s amazing. They are amazing. Thanks Virginia. None of this would have been possible without you and Robert working so hard with these wonderful ladies, the hospital and everyone else. Lisa
